Guilt for our failings - Grace to forgive them and trust God to do what we can’t.

Images of a traumatic tragedy, scarred in our minds - Insight to see God in the midst of it; the small mercies, supernatural strength.

Fear of a broken world that guarantees nothing and threatens everything - Faith that redemption will come and the suffering will cease.

Theology that leaves us cold: an ineffective glue in an attempt to fix our hearts - Thanksgiving allowing the many shards of our broken hearts to live on, keep beating and know joy.
